Great table for the price!Feb 19, 2010
My husband and I got this for our 2-year-old son for Christmas, and it has been wonderful! He was always playing with his Cars race track on the floor, and either an animal or a person would wind up stepping on it, so we decided to get an activity table. Also, he was getting a Thomas train set for Christmas, so we wanted to be able to set up his track on the table and not the floor.
I researched a lot of different tables and I am extremely happy with this one! It was very easy to put together, and has held up great. It only took me about 20 minutes to put together, and is easy for one person to do until you need to turn the table over. The only damage to the table so far was caused by my son running into the corners of the legs with his push wagon, but considering how fast he runs, I am very impressed at how little damage he caused. There are only some minor chips in the paint, which could easily be fixed with some white paint.
As stated in some other reviews, the table is rather large, so make sure you have room for it. We have it out in the middle of his bedroom floor so that he can walk all the way around it, but luckily his room is pretty big. If the room you are going to put this in is on the smaller side, then it will more than likely take up most of the floor space.
For the money, this is the best table you can get! You really can't go wrong with Melissa and Doug products.
 TOO BIG FOR THOMAS TRAIN SETFeb 08, 2010
This table is made of wood and looks pretty durable, but it was too big for my son's Thomas train set. Now we need to add a lot more of train set extras because it is really big. The drawer was one of the reasons why we purchased this table, however it is very small and also doesn't slide in and out smoothly. My 2 year old son has a hard time opening the drawer, and it is too small to hold his train set. I'm sure it will last a long time but I am dissapointed at the moment.

My son and daughter love the table! it is universal, was easy to put together, and very durable! Only downfall is that it only has one draw for storage. Though I bought a bunch of bins with lids that fit nicely under it, so it works!

Good size table, you can put a castle set or trainset and will still have room for your lego. It is stable and has a lot of room underneath for your storage containers. The drawer is a little small and it is kind of hard to open and close. My 3year old got frustrated when she could not open it. Overall it a good product and worth the money.

I bought this table for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas this year. He specifically asked me for a train table (he loves his Thomas trains) so I spent quite a bit of time researching different tables online. Some were really expensive (the Thomas ones were the most $$), others were really cheap. This table was right in the middle price-wise, and I like the Melissa and Doug brand. It arrived really fast and I decided to put it together (who wants a box with a picture on it for a Christmas present?) and it wasn't too complicated, it took me about 45 minutes by myself. The instructions were good. I think that it is sturdy enough to last him for years, it is well made and a good value. I covered it with a big xmas bag and my grandson was very excited to see that on Christmas morning. So far it seems to be holding up well in the weeks since he got it, the only problem is that it is in his room, and he thinks he can play with his trains instead of going to sleep at night! My daughter uses a motorcycle cover and tucks it in underneath at night, and that has solved that problem!
